Professional Midas Sound Quality

The Midas M32 Live is built around 32 Midas-designed microphone preamps. These preamps provide the clean, detailed, and musical sound associated with professional Midas consoles. They are suitable for vocals, drums, instruments, wireless microphones, playback systems, and many other audio sources.

With 40 input channels and extensive digital processing, the console can manage complex productions without requiring a large collection of external processors. It provides the flexibility required for concerts, churches, theaters, corporate events, broadcast systems, recording sessions, and touring productions.

Whether you are mixing a full band, managing multiple wireless microphones, or recording a live performance, the Midas M32 Live offers the routing and processing tools needed to create a professional mix.

Key Features of the Midas M32 Live

40 Input Channels

The console supports up to 40 input channels, giving engineers enough capacity for medium and large productions. These channels can be used for microphones, instruments, playback devices, stage boxes, and other professional audio sources.

32 Midas-Designed Microphone Preamps

The 32 onboard microphone inputs feature Midas-designed preamps known for clarity, low noise, and excellent sound quality. The preamps make the M32 Live suitable for applications where accurate and natural sound reproduction is important.

25 Mix Buses

With 25 time-aligned and phase-coherent mix buses, the Midas M32 Live can handle detailed routing for monitor mixes, subgroups, effects sends, matrix outputs, and other production requirements.

This flexibility makes it possible to control front-of-house sound, multiple stage monitor mixes, recording feeds, broadcast feeds, and delay systems from one console.

Eight DCA Groups

Eight DCA groups allow multiple channels to be controlled together without changing their individual mix relationships. For example, all drum channels, vocal microphones, instruments, or playback sources can be assigned to separate DCA groups for faster control during a performance.

Six Mute Groups

Six mute groups provide quick control over selected channels. This is particularly useful during rehearsals, scene changes, presentations, performances, and events requiring rapid transitions between different groups of microphones or instruments.

Seven-Inch Color Display

The high-visibility seven-inch TFT display provides access to channel settings, routing, effects, metering, scenes, and other important console functions. The screen is designed to remain visible in many professional production environments.

Dedicated controls and the intuitive surface layout help engineers make changes quickly without navigating through excessive menus.

AES50 Digital Audio Networking

The Midas M32 Live includes AES50 networking for digital audio expansion. Through its AES50 ports, the console can connect to compatible stage boxes and other professional audio devices.

AES50 connectivity supports up to 96 channels of digital audio input and output across compatible connections. This can reduce the amount of analog cabling required between the stage and front-of-house position while preserving audio quality.

A compatible Midas DL32 or another supported digital stage box can be added to create a more complete live sound system. Stage boxes are sold separately unless otherwise stated in the product package.

32-In/32-Out USB Audio Interface

The integrated 32-input and 32-output USB audio interface allows the Midas M32 Live to connect directly to a compatible computer for multitrack recording and playback.

This feature is useful for:

* Recording live concerts
* Virtual soundchecks
* Studio recording
* Livestream audio production
* Broadcast applications
* Playback of previously recorded tracks
* Capturing individual channels for post-production

A virtual soundcheck allows an engineer to play recorded tracks back through the console and adjust the mix without requiring the performers to remain onstage. This can save time during setup and improve consistency between events.

Computer compatibility may depend on the operating system, recording software, drivers, and system configuration used by the buyer.

Built-In Digital Effects and Processing

The Midas M32 Live includes a selection of onboard effects inspired by well-known studio and live sound processors. These include processing styles associated with TC Electronic, Lexicon, EMT, and other respected professional audio equipment.

The built-in processing can reduce the need for external racks of equipment. Engineers can access reverbs, delays, equalization, dynamics processing, modulation effects, and other tools directly from the console.

Individual channels provide access to essential processing such as:

* Input gain
* High-pass filtering
* Parametric equalization
* Compression
* Gating
* Routing
* Panning
* Bus assignments
* Effects sends
* Output level control

These tools allow the operator to shape and manage each input according to the requirements of the performance or production.

Designed for Live Performance and Touring

The Midas M32 Live features an aluminum and steel construction designed for professional environments. Its strong chassis and organized control surface make it suitable for fixed installations as well as mobile production systems.

For transportation, we recommend using a properly fitted professional road case. A suitable road case may be available separately upon request.

This console is an excellent choice for:

* Front-of-house mixing
* Stage monitor mixing
* Touring productions
* Concert venues
* Churches and houses of worship
